THE NATIONWIDE MULTISTATE LICENSING SYSTEM (NMLS)

In order to provide homebuyers and the general public with greater information concerning the companies and professionals in the mortgage industry and in fulfillment of the federal S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008, the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) hosts a website called NMLS Consumer Access. NMLS Consumer Access is a fully searchable website that allows the public to view information concerning state-licensed companies, branches, and individuals licensed and registered through NMLS. Found online at www.NMLSConsumerAccess.org, NMLS Consumer Access is a stand-alone website, separate from NMLS, that contains administrative and licensing information for companies, branches, and individuals licensed or registered through NMLS.

You are notified that all State and Federal disclosures are required to be understood and acknowledged, including but not limited to the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures (TRID), and certain other federal and state laws, including details of your cost of credit, Loan Estimates of your settlement costs, HUD mandated booklets and your right to a copy of any appraisal, if any, performed on your home.


The Equal Credit Opportunity Act prohibits creditors from discriminating against credit applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age (provided the applicant has the capacity to enter into a binding contract), because all or part of the applicant’s income derives from any public assistance program, or because the applicant has in good faith exercised any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act.  The federal agency that administers compliance with this law is the Federal Trade Commission, Equal Credit Opportunity, Washington, DC 20580.

If your loan request is forwarded to a Lender that makes you an offer, you should receive from the Lender a Loan Estimate (LE) required under TRID and an initial loan disclosure package, within three business days from the date you submit a complete loan application with the Lender.

 

 If the Lender denies your request for credit, and that action is based, in whole or in part, on any information contained in a consumer credit report, you have the right to obtain, within sixty days, a free copy of your consumer credit report from the credit reporting agency which compiles and maintains files on consumers on a nationwide basis. You also have the right to dispute the accuracy or completeness of any information in a consumer credit report furnished by the consumer credit reporting agency by contacting that agency directly. An applicant, if married, may apply for a separate account.

As a Mortgage Origination Broker Company, Paragon Mortgage Services acts as an agent of its participating Banks and Lenders, and in this capacity Paragon Mortgage Services provides administrative and consultative support to consumers related to its participating Bank and Lender Real Estate offers and representative Loan Product Lines only. Each customer is hereby notified that commencing the financing process and completing a loan request with Paragon Mortgage Services does not guarantee that any customer's request will result in each or any customer receiving a loan with one of our approved Banks or Lenders or that an offered loan may meet your personal needs or requirements. You are free to contact any other lenders to ensure that you are receiving the best services and the best rate for these services. Paragon Mortgage Services is not a Bank or Wholesale Loan Investor and Paragon Mortgage Services does not make loans or credit decisions in connection with loans, nor does Paragon Mortgage Services issue commitments or lock-in agreements.

No consumer is under any obligation to use a Paragon Mortgage Services Officer or Mortgage Loan Originator and all consumers are hereby notified that if you choose to apply for a loan with Paragon Mortgage Services, Inc., all compensation will be disclosed in accordance with Local, State and Federal laws and the requirements of TRID.
